About Vobbly
Vobbly analyzes meeting audio in real-time to show how well your team shares the conversation. Place your iPhone on the table, and the app tracks speaking time, turn-taking balance, and meeting health — all processed locally on your device.
What it does
- Tracks speaking time — See how long each participant spoke
- Measures turn-taking balance — Reveals whether the group conversation is balanced or dominated by a few voices
- Calculates meeting health score — A single metric for participation equity and conversation flow
- Works with hybrid meetings — Captures both in-person voices and remote participants through your speaker
- Saves locally — Optionally save session summaries to your device for later review
How to use
- Open the app and start a meeting session
- Place your iPhone on the table where it can hear all speakers
- For remote participants, use your speaker (not headphones)
- When the meeting ends, view the analysis and optionally save the summary

Audio processing — local only
Vobbly uses your iPhone's microphone to listen to meeting audio. All audio processing happens on your device. The raw audio is never transmitted, uploaded, or stored on external servers. The app extracts only meeting metrics (speaking time, turn-taking scores, health indicators) from the audio. Raw audio is discarded after analysis.
Optional session saving
When you end a meeting, you can optionally save a session summary (date, duration, participant metrics) to your device. This data is stored locally in the app's sandbox and is never transmitted externally.
Data we don't collect
Vobbly itself does not collect personal information, transcripts, raw audio, or analytics. Audio analysis happens entirely on your device. Note: third-party advertising (Google AdMob) is the one exception — see "Advertising" below.
Advertising
After meetings longer than 5 minutes, Vobbly shows an interstitial ad provided by Google AdMob. To deliver these ads, AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) and use it for personalized advertising and tracking across apps and websites.
On first launch, iOS shows an App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, ads still appear but without personalization. You can change this any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Vobbly.
For details on what AdMob collects, see Google's privacy policy.
Permissions
- Microphone: required, used to capture meeting audio for on-device analysis.
- Tracking (App Tracking Transparency): optional, requested only to enable personalized ads. Declining does not affect any other functionality.
Your rights & contact
You have the right to know what data is collected and to request its deletion. Since Vobbly stores all session data locally on your device, you can delete everything by removing the app or clearing history in Settings.
For ad-related data held by Google, manage it via your Google account settings or contact Google directly.
